Sustainability for this mission and our artists is achieved, in part, from sales and commissioned works by the participating members and fees from workshops and classes distributed to member instructors. |
Lake Eustis Museum of Art
The Lake Eustis Museum of Art originated less than 20 years ago as a grassroots organization conceived by community-minded citizens who understood the importance of sharing arts and culture. In just this short time, the Museum has transformed into a voice for the contemporary art of the Southeastern United States, a haven for local artists to enjoy unique, educational experiences and a welcoming, artistic place for visitors from around the State of Florida and beyond. Due to its permanent collection, the Lake Eustis Museum of Art is the only art museum in the tri-county area. |
Lake
Eustis Sailing Club
Incorporated in 1953 as the Eustis Marine Club, this group emerged as a sailing club with their first sailing regatta in 1971. With their purchase of lakefront property and the addition of a new building in the 1990s, the Lake Eustis Sailing Club is fast becoming the preeminent one design sailboat racing organization in central Florida. It now hosts eight major regattas annually and provides sailing instruction for both youth and adults. The club's affiliate, the Lake Eustis Youth Sailing Foundation, offers sailing for high school students with their 420 Fleet and junior and intermediate sailing. |

RubeLab
A center for environmental innovation, RubeLab's mission is to assist in the development of technologies that ameliorate local and global environmental problems; serve as an economic catalyst for Eustis and the surrounding community by encouraging and assisting private enterprise in developing a local, "green technology" industry; and serve as a vehicle for engaging the underutilized talents of skilled individuals residing and working in the area. |
Trout
Lake Nature Center
The Oklawaha Valley Audubon Society (OVAS), a chapter of the Audubon Society, was formed in 1964. More than 20 years later, OVAS decided to expand their education program to include a nature center. In July 1988, OVAS bought the property along Trout Lake and the nature center became a reality. Trout Lake Nature Center is a 230 acre wildlife preserve located on the north edge of Eustis, Florida. The preserve protects the flora and fauna of a unique wetlands-forest habitat bordering Trout Lake. The Center is dedicated to increasing the environmental awareness of the citizens of Lake County and to the advancement of environmental education. |
