A SERIES OF NONPROFIT SEMINARS
Author Debra Berg Will Present Solutions to Most Commonly Asked Questions

Debra Berg

Debra Berg, author of The Power of One, Unsung Everyday Heroes Rescuing American Cities and Lake County resident sees nonprofit organizations as civic enterprises that can benefit from the successes of other nonprofits. “Proven solutions to shared challenges exist”, according to Berg.

Berg’s research for her book indicates that most social entrepreneurs are isolated from one another. They are focused on their service and often have neither the time nor the resources to connect with other nonprofits in their community or across the United States, even when they suspect that other organizations might have a solution to a challenge they are facing. Her goal is to end this isolation by establishing a National Institute for Civic Enterprise (NICE) that accelerates nonprofit success through online information access.

In February 2008, Debra Berg and the Lake Eustis Institute presented an introductory seminar to Lake County nonprofits. From the priorities and questions discussed in that seminar, Berg and the institute have developed a series of in-depth seminars for nonprofits designed to provide solutions to the most asked questions.

All seminars are at the Lake Eustis Institute classroom, 135 N. Grove St., Eustis, FL 32726. Unless specified differently, the seminars are Fridays from 10 AM to Noon They are open to all nonprofits on a first come basis.

The fee is $25 per session. Group rates available for a single organization are: first two at $25 each, and 3 or more at $10 each.
