Vocal Fusion
SUNDAY, APRIL 13
3 PM
A THIRD PLACE
12 East Magnolia Avenue, Eustis
Sunday afternoon, April 13th, in downtown Eustis will be an opportunity to enjoy the incredible voices of young stars of the Orlando Opera. Vocal Fusion will be presented at A Third Place, 12 East Magnolia Avenue at 3:00 PM. Although the restaurant has closed, owner Bill Ferree has offered the use of the space to the Lake Eustis Institute for the vocal concert, since last year’s opera audience enjoyed hearing the music and enjoying refreshments there.
Each year the Orlando Opera sends members of its company on tour throughout Central Florida. The vocalists present selections from operas and musicals as solos and in ensembles.
This year’s singers include Angela Mortellaro, soprano; Sarah Limper, mezzo-soprano; Jon-Michael Ball, tenor; and Nimrod Weisbrod, baritone. Ball and Weisbrod sang in Eustis last year. Mortellaro holds degrees in music performance from Rice University and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Limper has a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Lee University and graduate studies in vocal performance at the University of Tennessee where she was a member of the Knoxville Opera Studio. Last year Ball performed in the Orlando Opera’s The Pirates of Penzance and recently made his debut in South America. Weisbrod sang in Madama Butterfly for the Orlando Opera last year. As a graduate of the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins, Weisbrod performed with the Peabody Opera Theater and the Baltimore Opera.
Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online (see link below) or by calling 352.357.3995. Reserved tables for four are available for $160. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. |
